Package Sewage Treatment Plant Site: New South Wales                           Completed: 1997                              Capacity: 200 EP (50 kL/day)                  Services:Design,  Manufacture, Installation, Commissioning, Operator Training                                                         Special Features: This Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) was designed to treat effluent from a collection of existing septic tanks to a quality suitable for spray irrigation on a golf course.                                                                                                                    Project Description of the Package Sewage Treatment Plant: This project utilises the Extended Aeration Activated Sludge method of biological sewage treatment incorporating primary sedimentation tank, aeration tank and secondary clarifier. The Package Sewage Treatment Plant comprises interconnected concrete in-ground tanks with aeration supplied via a “Roots” type blower and diffusers. Disinfection was undertaken with Ultra Violet sterilisers prior to discharge to an irrigation storage pond. The treated effluent quality exceeded EPA requirements for reuse by irrigation of effluents.
