Geotube®

Municipal Wastewater Application - Southern Victoria

This sewage treatment plant discharges sludge to Geotube® dewatering containers from an Intermittently Decanting Extended Aeration (IDEA) plant via aerated sludge lagoons. The Geotube® dewatering containers are operated in a three unit cycle, with one filling whilst the other two are undergoing final dewatering and desiccation.

Filtrate from the Geotube® dewatering containers is collected via sand bed underdrain and is pumped back to the head of works.
