Dredging & Dewatering Western New South Wales CRS recently completed this turnkey project that involved the removal of 1700m³ anaerobic sewage sludge from a lagoon at a municipal STP in central NSW. The sludge was mixed and dosed with ~ 350ppm of a high charge cationic polymer , mixed in-line and pumped to Geotube® dewatering containers for dewatering. The Geotube® device was contained within our innovative portable bunding system, Porta-Berm™ which collected the high quality filtrate and returned it to the lagoon, by gravity. This coupling of technologies has proved to be a very cost effective option for our clients who have smaller lagoons in remote locations where budgets are tight and logistics preclude extensive equipment mobilisation and emobilisation.
